Over the past year Marek has honed his craft and is ready to make his debut at DEVIATE as DJ Nonsense. From working the event last year, to participating in it this year, we can’t wait to see DJ Nonsense on the stage and hear his unique beats that will keep guests on their toes and ready for more. Grab your tickets and we’ll see you in downtown Beloit on September 28.

Tell us about you

I’ve gotten into DJing over this past year. Since then, I’ve been performing at 5bar in town almost every weekend working on my craft. I’ve always been the friend in the group that was on “aux”, and I eventually just took a leap to try out DJing.

What inspires your art?

Reactions. I live for them. I love surprising the crowd and keeping them on their toes, so they never know what’s coming next. At the end of the day, my love for music inspires what I do. It’s not just a passion, but a lifestyle for me.

Knowing DEVIATE is an experiential, interactive art event, how do you envision participating? DJing is one of the most interactive art forms in my opinion. There’s a connection between DJ and the crowd. I’m looking to bring some excitement and good tunes for all that show out for the event.

How did you find out about DEIVATE and why do you want to be involved?
I actually helped work DEVIATE last year. I also work for Geronimo so I’m in close association with the event. It’s an amazing event and it’s a dream to be a part of it!
